Workshops, Trainings & Consultations

I began my public speaking journey in 2006 when I ran for Ms. Wheelchair Michigan, and since then, I’ve had the honor of sharing my voice and experiences with audiences across the country. I’ve spoken at the Women’s March in Detroit, with social work students at Wayne State University, and with law students at the University of Michigan. I’ve also had the privilege of speaking before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights about the voting rights of people with disabilities.

Over the years, I’ve presented at national and community events including the Facing Race Conference, Allied Media Conference, and Justice for Black Girls, among others. I also worked with non-profit leaders and advocates on implementing disability inclusion into their programs. Each opportunity allows me to continue advocating for disability justice, equity, and authentic representation in every space I enter.

1. Inclusive Leadership: Going From no to yes - A Black Disabled Woman Leadership Journey

Based on my book Women in Leadership, this workshop is designed to empower emerging and established leaders to lead with authenticity, confidence, and inclusion. Participants will learn how to navigate bias, cultivate equity-driven leadership practices, and embrace their full identities as a source of strength and innovation.

Other workshop and trainings titles are The Building Blocks of Advocacy and The History of African Americans with Disabilities.

Ideal for: Corporations, nonprofits, women’s networks, and leadership programs.

2. Disability Justice in the Workplace

This training explores how to move beyond compliance and toward true inclusion. Together, we’ll unpack ableism, accessibility, and intersectionality through real-world examples and personal stories. Participants will leave with actionable strategies to create workplaces that honor and uplift employees with disabilities.

Other workshops and trainings title: Unapologetically Called: Living God's Purpose with a Disability

Ideal for: Human resource teams, DEI officers, universities, community organizations and churches/ministries.

3. Digital Storytelling & Media Equity

As a filmmaker and media producer, I believe storytelling has the power to transform culture. This workshop helps participants use digital media to amplify their voices, other marginalized voices, and make their content accessible to various communities that rooted in justice and truth.

Ideal for: Media professionals, content creators, educators, and advocacy groups.
